Job Description
Develop Modern Trade sales strategy in alignment with the business vision for
achievement of annual sales targets, expansion & retention of customer base of
assigned portfolio
? Ensure research and reporting on future changes in the retail business and take into
account these factors while planning of the business strategy, resources and
procedures
? Participate in the creation of the AOP at the Corporate level for customers and
portfolio assigned
? Create the annual modern trade sales budget and decide on the allocation for various
activities
? Design guidelines for development of channel partners & monitor the effectiveness of
all channel partners
? Use research and data to estimate competitive categories and brands, and grow
share by category for each account. Develop an overarching strategy to grow the
portfolio
? Lead the identification of select key accounts that contribute to the majority revenue)
and create strategies to maximum revenue potential from these accounts
Requirements
? Monitor implementation of the sales strategy through the establishment of mid to long
term performance goals
? Ensure product listing, introduction and consistency of supplies and fill rates of the
SKU wise portfolio assigned. Align and deliver TOTs in alignment and with approvals
from CSMO for the same.
? Establish measures, timelines and mechanisms to regularly review the performance
against the set targets
? Develop and drive pricing strategies of the related categories
? Ensure accurate and periodic demand planning by involving the Planning and
Distribution team. Work very closely with other stakeholders like Finance, Planning,
Marketing, Trade Marketing to meet set objectives
? Provide guidance in establishing and deploying and renewing service level
agreements (TOT) with modern trade channel partners
? Continuously monitor performance of accounts and in consultation with CSMO and
take steps for exit/removal of non-profitable accounts
? Ensure accurate and periodic reporting of sales data to CSMO for future strategy
planning
