The objective of the role is to :
- Develop sound engineering standards for project execution in order to ensure MGL code of practices are followed across CAs
- Lead, strategize and direct projects department in construction, installation of assets (PNG and Steel) in order to achieve business targets.
- Review business performance report against yearly business plan on quarterly basis and take corrective actions to achieve desired business target; Publish the reports for management review.
- Participate in periodic reviews to ensure adherence to the overall objectives and targets set; identify variations and guide the team to build action plans to mitigate the same.
- Participate in cross-functional committee meetings and intra-departmental committee meetings to ensure collaborative working and smooth functioning across the department
- Ensure proper database maintenance, filling and optimal utilization of resources
- Work closely with government officials, civil contractors and R&B authorities for various approvals from time to time.
- Support projects team by liaisoning with respective head of departments for desired resources in order to ensure all its targets set .
- Ensure employees and contractors are aware of their responsibilities for safe work and must comply with requirements at MGL HSE policy and procedure, code of practice and relevant legislation.
- Review of risk for different activities at the site.
- Ensure adherence to the strict norms of HSE and compliance of the team for the same.
- Participate in recruitment drive for projects department as and when required.
- Coordinate with HR department to ensure projects department is adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements.
- Own and develop high potential talent and create a talent pipeline for the department.
- Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of critical employees.
- Instil a performance culture in the organization through driving timely goal setting, monitoring, and performance review.
