1. Teaching: Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering, including but not limited to courses in structural engineering, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, and construction management. Employ innovative and effective teaching methodologies to engage students in active learning.
2. Research: Conduct and publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences within the field of civil engineering. Collaborate with colleagues and students on research projects, pursue external funding opportunities, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the discipline.
3. Advising and Mentoring: Provide academic and career advising to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in civil engineering. Mentor students in research projects, internships, and professional development activities to enhance their academic and professional success.
4. Service: Contribute to the department, college, and university through active participation in committees, curriculum development, accreditation processes, and other service activities. Engage with professional organizations, industry partners, and the broader community to promote the visibility and impact of the civil engineering program.
5. Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field of civil engineering through continuous learning, professional development activities, and participation in relevant conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Qualifications:
· Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
· Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
ü Professional engineering licensure or eligibility for licensure.
ü Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
ü Track record of research publications and grant funding.
ü Experience with innovative instructional technologies and pedagogical approaches.
