This power supply is needed when using the DR6 or RAD26 with rackmount HAL units (HAL3s and legacy units). The RPI is connected between the HAL and the peripheral controller using shielded Cat 5e cable (or better), and can be located at any point between the HAL units and the peripherals within a 325ft (100m) maximum

Very disappointed, not sure if I just received the one bad one or if all are made cheaply. Did not even last a day and the orange cap that protects the usb charging port broke. Messaged seller on it being defective so we will see what comes of that. Update: seller responded and sending another one. The current one, while the orange end seemed defective the light itself is super bright. My son has a much larger one but I prefer this compact size and the brightness of it
