This is what Ortofon call a hybrid design, they features a mix of 7N (99. 99999%) and 6N (99. 9999%) pure copper strands of two different thicknesses. The design was chosen after exhaustive auditioning. These strands are very tightly wound to improve resolution and reduce microphony. BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT BUY! We had the Maestri House Milk Frother for 5 months. It suddenly quit spinning. I contacted support as instructed in the manual. I received a reply that there is a 1 year warranty and to send my order # and video showing the problem. I did the same day. No response. I waited a week, still no response. I sent the order # and video again. It has been almost a month, I have sent 4 emails, and no one will get back with me. I found a phone number online but when I called there is an automated response with their hours and then hangs up on me. THIS ITEM WILL QUIT WORKING AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! TERRIBLE PRODUCT. TERRIBLE COMPANY!
