Usually blankets that have a texture this fine are prone to leaving lint all over my clothes and my dryer, but this one didn't. And yes, it held up to the wash and dryer just fine - washed with delicate cycle on cold, dried with air fluff cycle on warm. It's lightweight while still being cozy, and I like that it's textured on both sides. My wife describes it as "cuddly" and that pretty much sums it up. It's the perfect size for a couch blanket especially on cool spring days when you don't need a super heavy throw, but still want to keep your feet warm. It also comes tied up with a ribbon, so it'd be easy to gift right out of the plastic packaging.
