Antique Smiths Silver Co. Iris Serving SpoonAntique serving spoon. From Smiths Silver Co, this called "Iris". Gorgeous, art nouveau style iris flows from the handle to the neck of the spoon. The bowl of the spoon is oval shaped with a "ledge". Very pretty! This vintage serving spoon is marked "S" in brackets for Smiths Silver Co. The pattern, Iris, dates from 1902 and was designed by Eugene H. H. Smith. Measures 9 inches. The handle is beautiful, but the bowl has some pitting. Still can be used

Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly.
Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration.
Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.
