It was made by Cecilia featuring a traditional faja sash design commonly found in the Guatemalan Mayan dress from Lake Atitlan. All belts are made in house from dyeing the thread in a non toxic way with plants and cochineal to producing unique designs. There are only a few belts made of each style. I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness of this rug. No bad smell coming off it. I like the leather backing on it. Wasn't as soft/fluffy straight out the bag but a quick brush fixed that issue for me. So far even with the brushing there is minimal shedding. Bought as a gift for my husband but my son enjoys it.
