Bought these wiper blades because my wiper blades were old. The new blades lay down a good level of water repellent on the windshield. This 17" Rain-X blade ended up replacing a faulty 17" blade from a 5 PLUS set (24"/17"/12") I originally installed. The 17" from that set had a defective internal adapter — it wouldn’t seat properly on the wiper arm & was extremely difficult to remove. Once I got it apart, the adapter looked warped or misformed.
