Installation requires removal of the upper ball joint stud nut. Break the taper free between the stud and sleeve, determine the change needed and replace the existing sleeve with the correct one. I don’t expect this filter to last as long as the original filter but that’s okay because it is about half the cost. It looks well made. I didn’t see any flaws. I chose this filter because it had some of the fewest complaints regarding the fit and it worked well for my ‘23 Subaru Forester. I may go back to an OEM filter next time but it’s nice to know that this one will work for me.
