This is a very German pencil sharpener, it is spring loaded so pull out the metal clamp then mount the pencil in the metal clamp then you can just turn the crank and the the spring draw the pencil into the cutter. This one is complete with the clean out tray and the often missing clamp. They did produce this model before and after the war, this one is an earlier type with metal hardware on the

Sweet little book

It's a hedgehog!

My sweet daughter-in-law is expecting our 1st grandchild. Since we are a huge family of readers I asked my son & dil to give me names for some of their favorite books growing up. I bought a few of their favorites & since she loves hedgehogs I thought this would be a cute little book for bedtime. As our granddaughter starts to read by herself this will be a great starter book to have, too.
